AK 47 BAYONET MEMORIAL SERIAL NUMBER
On the underside of the hilt is hand etched the serial number 'YR4665'. The strap can be secured to the hand guard via a wire hook at the base of the quillon. An olive green cotton webbing wrist strap has been looped through the hilt and secured with a matte chrome box clip. The hand guard has a loop hole set into it which slides over the flash suppressor on the rifle when fitted. The hilt has been fitted with a catch system which attaches to the bayonet lug on the rifle. The bayonet handle is made from black Bakelite. '032' is hand etched onto the base of the wire cutter attachment. The scabbard is protective coated black plastic, without a rubber insulator, with the wire-cutter attachment moulded into the lower end.

There is a wire cutter with an oval slot in the centre of the blade which engages with a lug in the bottom of the scabbard to cut barbed wire or electrical wire. The back of the blade has serrations along half its length for rope cutting. The blade is a stainless steel, single edge, clip point design with a false edge on the clip point and blade back.
